This map, "Sailing Fleet of Laksamana Cheng Ho' is relate Admiral Cheng Ho, Ming Dynasty, where he originated from China, how he sailed his fleet to overseas, from Nanking to Siam, passed Taiwan, Kelantan, Melaka, Tamasek, Philippine, Brunei, Surabaya, Sumatra, along the South China Sea & Straits of Malacca.. to India, Middle East and Africa, during the period of 1405-1433.

St John's Fort was built by the Dutch sometime
between 1760-1790 on top of St John's Hill.
The fort was constructed on the site of an old
Portuguese chapel. This fort overlooks the
Straits of Malacca.
